Laurencolover.com
I designed a portfolio website for a jewellery designer Lauren Colover!
It's now live and you can visit the site here http://www.laurencolover.com/
It's been kept simple to make its works stand out, but also has quite a girlie and soft touch which is working great with her images. She is taking part in Jewellery Show at Earls Court in September, and I'm happy that we got the site ready for it!
It was my first time having a client, who I've never known prior to the job, but it's been a real pleasure working with Lauren! So far, all jewellery designers seem to be so approachable and great to work with. Meeting new designers is always a good experience, and I even get to know their works well by making portfolio site together. Nice stuff!

JT
JT is a very talented graphic designer/animator/illustrator/fashion designer/paper-cut artist/print maker, you name it. Everyone in our course adores his work, making even tutors envy. He's an expert in softwares, as well as at handcrafts. Sounds mighty, but he is totally approachable and loved by everyone. He is nice enough to teaches his skills to others. He is full of creative ideas, and there are just so many occasions where he has helped me with my work. Oh and he's a great team worker. God, I can just continue complimenting him... I just LOVE him and his work.
You can check his works at his website: http://designiswhatido.tumblr.com/
And you can see the final version of paper-cut that he was working on in pictures above here

Hyung Joong
Another friend from Holland, who stayed in London this summer. He also stayed at my house, which made me feel like I gained a flatmate for the first time in my life! It was well exciting and was great having an old happy friend around.
We've been good friends, we spent 5 years in same school and same friend-group, but I don't think we were particularly close one-to-one. We lived in the same direction, so I remember us always taking same tram home, but we haven't been in touch much after I left Holland. Nevertheless, he's so nice, kind and trustworthy, I was more than happy to lend my place, and introduce another friend of mine for his flat. I would have hesitated if it was for someone else. His kindness showed in heartwarming messages he sent to all of his Japanese friends after the 3.11 earthquake, which was incredibly touching.
There were quite few memorable moments during his stay in London and one was on the last day when we talked about our identities. I don't know what he'll choose at the end, but I know we will be supporting him all the way through.

Mayanka
I've known her since I was 12 years old and we used to go to the same school in Holland. I spoke pretty much no English back then, but she still was extremely kind to me and that I will never forget. She lived in London for a couple months doing internship and it was amazing to be able to hang out with her just like how we used to. It was great to have her around with my friends from London too. It reminded me of the fact that the values I seek in my friends have not changed through all these years.
She brought this small booklet, where she kept the notes and letters we exchanged during classes. It was embarrassing and so precious at the same time. So many memories, they bring us back in time.
God knows where we will reunite again. NYC? India? London? But I'm already looking forward to our next meeting.
